Concept "Snow White"

When the weather reports said up to 14" of snow, most people stocked up on food, hunkered down and grumbled on social media.
Not this photographer! I got excited, excessively excited, sleeplessly excited and began to style. We hopped in the Jeep, plowed through the snow, grabbed our model from rural MO and head to another part of rural MO to go shoot this fun Snow White concept shoot.

Since it is a concept shoot, I wanted to share my process and results from the idea. Please feel free to critique!

Storyboard 1 Warm Tones, using Jessica Drossin's Textures in the edits and in the collage building to soften the borders. I tried to aim for a storybook look and used the textures to give the page look in some cases, and in other instances to give the woods an eerier or fairytale feel.

Storyboard 2 is sharper coloration based in blacks and white. There are some storybook edits here as well. Also some adventures in the bottom row: left - ghosting, and center - painted or manifesting from nothing, maybe a little black magic.

Blissfully Deranged Makeup did the makeup, Jen (me) from Legacy Photography did the styling, hair, shoot and makeup. I'll toss a little blurb in there for Brushy Fork Pine Christmas Tree Farm too, because I raided my mother-in-law's shop for accessories.
